Sustainable Futures
The Sustainable Futures program is a comprehensive teacher resource that provides an innovative approach to educating students about sustainability and the environment. Designed for use in primary and secondary schools, this program is suitable for teachers working with students in Years 3 to 9. The program is free to register and provides teachers with access to a vast array of digital teaching resources, including ideas and activities to support the teaching of sustainability.
At the core of the Sustainable Futures program is a focus on developing students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The program encourages students to engage in the process of inquiry, literature research, experimental investigation, and critical thinking. This approach provides students with a foundation of knowledge and skills that will enable them to become effective problem-solvers and critical thinkers.
In addition to its focus on critical thinking and problem-solving, the Sustainable Futures program is designed to promote collaboration between schools. Teachers and students are encouraged to work together to develop innovative solutions to environmental challenges. This collaborative approach fosters a sense of community and helps to build strong relationships between schools.
The Sustainable Futures program is user-friendly, making it easy for teachers and students to engage with the content. The program’s digital resources are designed to be accessible and engaging, with a focus on hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences. Whether working independently or in teams, students will find the program to be both fun and challenging.
