Soil in the urban environment
A pdf teacher guide to assist students explore the chemical reactions of pH, salinity, sodicity (dispersion) and corrosion in soil and apply these chemical reactions to a real world scenario. Students explore the difference between topsoil and subsoil and use laboratory tests to determine if the topsoil can be re-used in the landscaping of the property development project.
