Seeds of Change – Roots & Shoots Program

The Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots Resource Box for Schools is a unique opportunity for primary school teachers and students to educate themselves and their community about the world of wildlife, the environment, and the challenges facing the planet. Funded by the Phillips Foundation and initiated by the Jane Goodall Institute of Australia (JGIA), this program is designed to engage students in interactive and action-based programs that will not only increase their knowledge and understanding but also inspire them to take positive actions that will directly contribute to a more sustainable environment.

This teacher resource provides a comprehensive education program that covers the most pressing environmental issues and the role that wildlife plays in the natural world. Through engaging activities and interactive programs, students will learn about the importance of wildlife conservation and the impact of human activities on the environment. Additionally, students will be encouraged to take positive actions that will help to mitigate the negative effects of human activities on the environment.

By participating in the Roots & Shoots program, teachers and students will not only learn about the environment and wildlife, but they will also be given the tools and resources to make a difference. The program is designed to be flexible and can be adapted to fit the needs of each school, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education that is both enjoyable and impactful. Whether you’re a seasoned teacher or just starting out, this resource is an excellent way to incorporate environmental education into your curriculum and inspire your students to make a positive impact on the world.
