In collaboration with industry partners and member organisations, the Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia (PIEFA) has developed a suite of hands-on, curriculum-aligned card games that explore the supply chains of a range of Australian food and fibre products.

Designed to support teaching and learning across primary and secondary year levels, these interactive games enable students to sequence the journey of food and fibre from production to the point of sale. Selected card sets also provide extension opportunities highlighting industry careers, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices within different supply chains.

Each card game focuses on a specific industry, allowing educators to choose resources that align with their curriculum planning and classroom needs.

In addition to supply chain-focused resources, PIEFA has developed a range of card games that explore broader aspects of food and fibre production, including regionally significant industries and sustainability challenges. These games are designed to deepen student understanding of key agricultural considerations while supporting learning across Science, Geography, and Design and Technologies learning areas.

The Sustainability Challenge Card Game | Year 7-10

Through collaborative, hands-on card games, students will explore sustainability issues, select innovative solutions, and learn about critical careers and technologies in the industry. These activities foster teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while aligning with curriculum content to build knowledge in sustainability, science, and technologies.
