Landscape South Australia | Bringing the coast to the classroom

There is an amazing marine life in our oceans, providing a great opportunity for schools, community groups and citizens to learn more about our local coast and marine environment and to get involved in on-ground conservation projects.

Landscape SA’s education focus is on their Saltmarsh Threat Abatement and Recovery Project (STAR) which sees our landscape officers work on increasing the community’s knowledge of the threatened Hooded Plover and saltmarsh habitats.

Outside of the STAR project, their landscape priorities are sustainable agriculture, water, biodiversity, pest plants and animal and community. Our Sustainable Agriculture Project Officer and Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator work with farming communities to keep them up to date on relevant industry information.
