Discovering Past Methods of Food and Fibre Production (Video and Worksheet)

This video explores some of the historical understandings about geographical concepts of factors that shape the characteristics of places. Complete the student questions after watching the video.

Video in review: Neville Bonney is an Ethnobotanist and Author. Native foods can be found all over Australia. Climate, topography, geography, rainfall determine what food plants have evolved over time to grow in an area. Conservation through National Parks is a way to preserve some of these foods. There are examples of certain foods and how they are used (eg Wattle). As a population we can try and get use to using these plants. A chef describes how these can be used in a meal.
