Professor David Lamb, Chief Scientist at Food Agility CRC, hosts a monthly virtual research seminar, and in October 2022, invited Charles Sturt University’s Professor Jim Pratley along to discuss Agriculture: The employer of choice or a sector without a workforce?
Jim has a passion for agricultural education and his presentation laid bare the challenges for the agrifood sector in securing a skilled workforce. He also called on the sector, agribusiness in particular, to increase the visibility of career opportunities and work with schools and universities in supporting agricultural education.
