Sustainable Seafood in Australia

PIEFA has collaborated with Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) and Seafood Careers Australia to create ten student worksheets accompanied by interactive videos that highlight career prospects, sustainability efforts, and technological advancements in Australia’s aquaculture and wild-catch fishing industries.

These resources include multimedia content, real-world case studies, and differentiated activities tailored for students in Years 5-10. All resources are aligned with version 9 of the Australian Curriculum, focusing on the Design and Technologies and Science learning areas for each year level.

Additionally, a printable “Find Your Career In the Seafood Industry” poster has been created to showcase the diverse range of career opportunities in Australia’s seafood industry. The poster includes links to the newly released Seafood Careers Australia website, which students can use to explore career options and pathways in the sector.
