Financial planning in the macadamia industry

This sequence of lessons is designed to engage business studies students with real world scenarios in the macadamia industry. It was developed in conjunction with the Australian Macadamia Society and the Gateway Schools to Agribusiness, an initiative of the Queensland Government. Students will develop an understanding of an Australian rural industry in a business context; manipulate an industry-standard economic tool to develop business cases for investment; and develop skills in Microsoft suite of programs including Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Publisher.
